Who Knows Who has no account and no sign-in. You never tell us who you are, and we never ask.
What stays on your device
The language you pick and the number of games you have started are stored only on your iPhone or iPad. Player names you type for a same-phone game stay on that phone too — they are never sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What leaves your device
- Questions. The question bank is fetched from our Supabase database. That request carries your IP address, as any web request does, and tells us nothing else about you.
- Online games. If you create or join an online room, the four-letter room code, the two player names you typed and each round's answers are sent to Supabase so the other phone can see them. A room and everything in it is deleted ten minutes after it is created. We do not read these rooms and we do not keep them.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple, and we never see your payment details. To know whether a subscription is active, the app sends the purchase record and an anonymous identifier it generates for your install to RevenueCat, our subscription provider. That identifier is not tied to your name, email or Apple Account, and is used only to unlock what you paid for.
- Ads. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob receives your device's advertising identifier, your IP address and basic device information in order to serve and measure those ads, and may use it to track you across other apps and websites. Paid subscribers see no ads.
Your choice about tracking
iOS asks you once, on first launch, whether Who Knows Who may track you. If you say no, ads still appear but they are not personalised and your advertising identifier is not shared. You can change your answer at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
What we collect
Through the services above, the following is collected and linked to your device rather than to you: purchase history, advertising data and your device identifier. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or location.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and we do not knowingly collect anything from children. Because the free version carries advertising, we recommend a subscription or parental supervision for younger players.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date.
