Quran in a Year does not collect personal data. There is no account and no sign-in. The app uses anonymous usage analytics to understand which features help people keep reading; nothing it collects is tied to your identity or used for advertising or tracking.
What stays on your device
Your reading progress, streak, bookmarks, notes, chosen translation, reciter and reminder time are stored only on your iPhone or iPad. They are never uploaded to us. Deleting the app deletes them.
What leaves your device
- Recitation audio. When you play or download a recitation, your device requests the audio file from everyayah.com. That request carries your IP address, as any web request does. The Quranic text and translations are bundled in the app and need no network at all.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple, and we never see your payment details. To know whether a subscription is active, the app sends the purchase record and an anonymous identifier it generates for your install to RevenueCat, our subscription provider. That identifier is not tied to your name, email or Apple Account, is used to unlock what you paid for and, together with the analytics below, to understand which plans people choose. It is never used for advertising or tracking.
- Usage analytics. The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to record anonymous events such as finishing onboarding, completing a day's portion, opening the subscription screen or starting a purchase, together with basic device information (model, iOS version, language, approximate country) and a random identifier for your install. The app does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not ask for tracking permission, and does not combine this data with data from other companies' apps or websites. RevenueCat shares purchase, renewal and refund events with Firebase under the same install identifier. You can find Google's own policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled locally by iOS. No push server is involved and we send you nothing.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. It collects no personal data from anyone, children included; the anonymous analytics described above apply to every install in the same way.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date.
